Merhaba! Universal Transport has a new branch in Turkey

After a number of takeovers and new start ups, Universal Transport not only increased its presence in the German market but also expanded further afield onto foreign shores. Following the opening of the first branch office on the African continent the heavy cargo transport specialist now opened a further branch office in Turkey.

Together with the Turkish logistic business Gürkan Nakliyat a new company under the name of Universal Transport Gürkan (UTG) was set up. The great advantage: right from the start a complete transport fleet is available. Apart from 60 vehicles the Turkish partner has long-term experience in heavy cargo transport and a dependable network in place. The business is managed by Henning Bentien and Ali Sait Bayram, who will be mainly responsible for the operative part.

Turkey is after all a very interesting market with huge development potential and also the access to further markets in the Middle East and the area around the Caspian Sea. A long transport chain from Western Europe to Turkey and beyond is achievable because of the new cooperation.

The opening of the Turkish branch office is not the first encounter with the Turkish market for Universal Transport. In the latter half of 2015 an office in Istanbul under the management of Ergin Büyükbayram was opened. The logistic expert with established contacts in business will also support the management of UTG.
